It does seem to be building up slowly, but I think a lot of peeps are sick and tired of Amy. and they cant wait until she's gone.

Maccandace: As I like to say, bring a sandwich and settle in- it's going to take a while. ;)Wayne Michael Reichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04298352082213551344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2408391735271582965.post-70956007964823330262011-03-13T14:01:47.894-07:002011-03-13T14:01:47.894-07:00Well, wow. Where I live the paper is professional, but still caters to those who run advertising or that strictly agree with and support the owners political heroes. So we utilize a variety of smaller circles and publications--and even flyers and pages--to get things out, and we have pretty good turnouts. The newspaper doesn't like losing dollars, and they always step up by running some kind of insert or columns on the paper and their own free handouts and free pages to try and 'trump' us, when it is a win-win for events and people. I am a huge fan of my friend Matt Spastic, btw, and if he's saying you need to get your game on, it's so. Several times I have talked with Tate Hemlock about doing events--and I am so happy you talked him into this last one, kudos and gratitude, Wayne--and also to Jason A. Davis, as he is very active in trying to be a proponent of getting people involved. IF there were some kind of community board you could get going, I think that you would do well with an open meeting and inviting both people and businesses to send a rep to attend....brainstorm some good PR issues, come up with more involved events that will motivate the businesses and become addictive to the public, and you will in turn motivate the press. Land a big enough attraction and you can go to bigger people in the press to cover it, and then Claire and her crew will lick your boot heels just to be admitted. Just an idea. You need to shake things up there, bigtime, and more power to you, my friend. ~ArielAngela Killianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04211891265608052957noreply@blogger.com
